IMAGINE an event where your family and your closest friends plan a long weekend together full of music. Not just any music though, but the sweet sounds of Barbershop Harmony! Over the long weekend you choose to participate as much or as little as you’d like.A weekend that you and your family will enjoy floating on a lazy river, playing in the wave pool together, maybe taking some time to visit one of the many nearby attractions, and of course – live shows!
What happens when the Sunshine District joins forces with the Association of International Champions & Harmony Foundation International? You get the Labor Day Jamboree of your dreams! Not only will LDJ 2021 feature all the things you love about Labor Day Jamboree – family, fun, food, pool time, golf, incredible entertainment, tags, tags, and more tags – this year LDJ also hosts the return of the annual in-person ‘AIC Show’ that we’ve missed for over two years. Come and spend a few days harmonizing with hundreds of your closest friends and cap off the weekend watching the best in barbershop strut their stuff.
The health and safety of our attendees and performers are our highest priority. Along with Omni’s “Safe and Clean” initiative, we will be implementing several safety measures including contactless entry, physical distancing, screening for symptoms, and much more. The best way to protect yourself and others from COVID is to get the vaccine. While CDC guidelines have been updated for fully vaccinated persons, anyone who has not received the vaccine should continue wearing a mask indoors and when in close proximity to others. We also plan to use RFID wristbands in red, yellow, and green so that you can indicate your level of comfort in being near others.
The Labor Day Jamboree has been a Barbershop tradition in Florida (also known as the Sunshine District to us Barbershoppers) for over 50 years now. LDJ is an amazing weekend and those of us that make the annual pilgrimage thoroughly enjoy adding our experiences to that legacy. Please plan on joining us. You’ll be glad you did.

We have TWO jam-packed shows and the bar has been raised this year to create the LDJ of your dreams. In partnership with the Association of International Champions and Harmony Foundation International, LDJ will be hosting the return of the in-person AIC Show on Sunday night.

Sunday, September 5 at 7:00 pm (EST) – The AIC Show
Featuring: After Hours, Crossroads, Four Voices, Interstate Rivals, Forefront, Max Q, Main Street, Nightlife, Grandma’s Boys, Signature, and Vocal Spectrum.

- The $33 per day has been WAIVED and self-parking is complimentary for guests. Self-parking is available to daily commuters for $5 plus tax.
- All Reservations must be guaranteed by a valid credit card at the time of booking, and a one night’s stay plus tax deposit is due at the time of booking.
- Any guaranteed reservation not canceled by 5 days prior to arrival date will be subject to a one night room and tax cancellation fee
Driving Directions
FROM ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – 25 MINUTES/32 MILES
Take the South exit to 417 South. Take 417 South and follow the signs to I-4 West. Take I-4 West 3 miles past the Walt Disney World® Resort exits to Exit 58. Take Exit 58 and bear right to the ChampionsGate main entrance.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE SOUTH – VIA FLORIDA TURNPIKE NORTH
Follow the Florida Turnpike North to Exit 249, Osceola Parkway, and turn left. Follow Osceola Parkway to the Greenway (417). Take 417 South and follow the signs to I-4 West. Take I-4 West to Exit 58. Once you exit, make a right onto ChampionsGate Boulevard. At the second stop light, turn right onto Masters Boulevard. The hotel is on the left.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH – VIA FLORIDA TURNPIKE SOUTH
Follow the Turnpike South from Ocala – Take Turnpike South to exit 259 to I-4. Take I-4 West to exit 58. Once you exit, make a right onto ChampionsGate Blvd., and the resort will be two traffic lights down on your right.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE EAST – VIA I-4 WEST
Follow I-4 West. Take Exit 58. Bear right off the ramp. Pass through the gates of ChampionsGate. At the second stop light, turn right onto Masters Boulevard. The hotel is on the left.

Follow I-4 East to Exit 58. Turn left off the ramp. Enter ChampionsGate gates. At the second stop light, turn right onto Masters Boulevard. The hotel is on the left.

GRAPEFRUIT LEAGUE NOVICE QUARTET CONTEST
The Grapefruit League Novice Quartet Contest will be judged by Wildfire and the winners will get to sing on the Saturday Night Show. Quartets will sing two songs in the Barbershop Style. The winning quartet’s name will be placed on the Rik Ogden traveling trophy. This is a great chance to put a quartet together, get the feel of a competition stage, and get some great evaluation.
Deadline for entries in the GLNQC is TWO DAYS PRIOR, but please submit your entry sooner rather than later so that the event can be planned appropriately.
- The quartet cannot contain more than two members who have been a finalist in any District/Regional Contest or have competed in International Competition (including BHS NextGen or Seniors, SAI, HI, or MBHA) within the past 10 years.
- No more than one member who has been a District/Regional Champion, or International Finalist (including BHS NextGen or Seniors, SAI, HI, or MBHA) within the past 10 years.
- Last year’s champs are not eligible unless they change two members and the quartet name
